SG GCH BLUE BEAR DFMI TRUFFLES 2*m VEEE91

DOB 3/29/2012
Truffles is our foundation doe and matriarch of our herd. Our son purchased her from a senior 4H’r that was aging out with money he earned from selling eggs as a showmanship goat. After not settling the first year on the farm due to mineral deficiencies we got her bred in 2017. In 2018 she finally got into some open class shows and was showing some promise. In the final show of the season (Evergreen State Fair) she took GCH, Best in Show and Best Udder in a very competitive class. She also earned her AR star in 2018 making her a 2*M (2nd generation) milker. The following year 2019 she kidded with quad does and we entered her in several shows. She did well just missing the final cut. Then in June of 2019 at the Wine Country Dairy Goat Show she won all 3 rings, Best in Show and Best Udder overall! This made her a finished GCH. In the fall of 2018, she received her SG status as well. We retained 1 of her 2019 daughters, Cowgirl.

Maggie came to us when a good friend had life changing event and had to disperse her herd. Maggie is a beautiful doe with a long top line, wide rump, good brisket extension and very dairy general appearance. She placed fifth in her 2019 class at Nationals in Redmond, OR. Maggie is a super sweet doe that is an easy keeper and a joy to own. She easily earned her AR milk star in 2019/2020 and is currently a 8*M (8th generation) milker. Maggie scored 86 VV+V as a FF and we look forward to that score improving at her next appraisal. Her daughters Rye, Bay, Goldie and granddaughter Cassy currently reside in our herd as well.

Rye is a quiet little doe and if you weren’t looking for her might not even notice she is there. She is the daughter of Maggie and Rocco. She is very strong in general appearance, has a wide rump, good angulation, a long level topline and is the total package. She had a rough go as a FF with one kid DOA and the other dying at 5 days. As a second freshner she kidded with 2 doelings one we have retained. (Cassy). We love her udder as well as her general apperience and dairyness.

LONG ACRES FARM FS MARABOU 3*M VEEE89

DOB 3/08/2019
Marabou Aka Cowgirl (named by our youngest) is a full sister to Moo Moo but “a pain in the pail”. She can be a little impatient and LOUD waiting for her turn to get on the stanchion. As an FF she kidded with a single buckling a little above average in size. We almost lost her as he was coming out head backwards. After 20 minutes, we phoned a good friend Sam from Highland Ranch Dairy Goats to assist and she was close by thankfully. As I held her, Sam attempted to get that head out for nearly an hour, it just wasn’t working. Sam was was at the point she suggest we call the vet still trying when all the sudden there was a pop, she got it. The head came forward and out he came! Lifeless at first, I worked on him for what seemed like forever, a little limp noodle and not breathing well at all. After a lot of stimulation, he came to life. We were very grateful Sam was there and stuck with it, she told me right when she was telling Leslie we probably should call the vet she said a prayer and asked God “let this baby come out” and out he came. As you can tell cowgirl is special to us. She earned her ST star as an FF and is a 3*M, we will put her back on test to earn her AR star as a 2F. As a second freshener she kidded with 2 bucklings and one doeling. We have retained one of the bucklings as a junior sire to our herd. We are looking forward to seeing the beautiful udders his mamma has replicated in our herd next year.

STAYAWHILE ON SANTA’S LAP 3*M ++VV85

DOB 6/02/2019
On Santa’s Lap Aka Ash came to the farm as an itty-bitty bottle baby. We traded with Jodi at Stayawhile farms for one of Truffles doelings. I was concerned with her size, but she quickly showed us how spunky she was and that she could hold her own in the herd. She has matured nicely and is Merry’s dam.
